WELCOME TO THE MEACHAM/LAMB FAMILY BLOG

Hello cousin! I am happy you have dropped by and hope you will use this site often. Take a moment to bookmark this site right now.
Chances are, you are my cousin. We are all emailing each other with some kind of frequency, so having a blog to share news is a way to do this without having to email everyone separately. Please feel free to write in the comment section all the news regarding your family! I can also invite you to be a co-author with me so that you can upload original posts with photos. If you haven't received an invitation and would like one, email me. If you have any questions or would like me to add your blog or website to my list of links, please contact me. Email me at sumptinelse@yahoo.com. Thanks and let's start blogging!

Hello Lambs/Meachams!

This is Nick Graham, Lois's grandson. I live in New York with my wife Mariela in Inwood, an almost rustic part of Manhattan where Justin and Ryan have even ventured.

We are expecting our first child sometime in late May. We'll all have to brush up on our cousin terminology. For instance, our daughter will be Justin's second cousin, once removed!

Take care.

Congratulations Nick and Mariela on your impending arrival! You have the distinct position of being the first in the family to post a comment here. For the rest of you, I used to babysit Nick when he was very very small.

Hi, Sonja & other cousins!

I am impressed with your blog/website. Thanks for the invite. I haven't done much research since the reunion and can't believe it's been several years. Nick, would you mind updating me on the rest of Lois' kids and grandkids as I don't have.

My daughter, Jesseca (Boyer), finished her masters in Political Science at American Univ. in DC last fall and now works for the Committee on Oversight & Government Reform, Majority Party (Dems), on the Hill. I work for Johnson Controls and travel quite a bit. In fact, travel to Toronto, Ontario, about once every month or so. I am hoping that one of these trips I can route through Buffalo.

Sister Alice (Sooky) is living with her youngest, Debbie, now in Eldred. Her emphysema is pretty bad and she has had several bouts with cancer. Debbie's husband, Ken [they were at the reunion] who was older than Deb died of a heart attack a couple years ago.

My brother Kent & wife Sharon are doing well and almost empty nesters. Kent's son, Brian is a Junior at Washington State University; daughter Cali graduates from HS this spring.

Other updates: My sister Bobbie's daughter, Lorrie and 2nd husband, Jason Fox, had a baby boy, Cole Douglas, Nov. 2005. Bobbie's husband, Larry Brickman, has amazed us all surviving without his stomach & esophagus removed due to cancer in 2003. They are still in Okeene, OK.

My Mom's (Dotty) sister, Marian Sheneman passed Sept. 2004 at age 88; her half-brother Chuck Cook passed Jan. 2006 so Bobbie put together a Fee family reunion last Mem'l weekend in Oklahoma. Saw many cousins on that side.

I tracked down Aunt Imogene (Tooter's wife) who is now living with her nephew, Terry Witherow in Youngsville, PA. I spoke with her and wrote, but haven't heard back. She is now 86.

Would love to hear from the family!
We moved 1-1/2 years ago so have a new address: 2000 Village Green Dr. #12, Mill Creek, WA 98012.

I'll keep checking the blog! To add to the cousin info, I am Sally & Lois's first cousin, Sonja, you & I are 1st cousins once removed. Nick, you & I are 1st cousins twice removed!

Hi Becky! Thanks for the update! You will notice that many of the photos you emailed me are on the Lamb family photos site (see links). You have done such a good job keeping us all connected vis a vis the reunion at Letchworth a few years back. Thank you again. Hope to see you checking in here regularly.

My Mom, Sally Meacham Wagner McCue Mangus always called me "sheilajoy", like it was one word. I remember Nick (my first cousin once removed) getting stuck under the coffee table at home when he was about 10 months old. Had a heck of a time getting out from under there. That was a few years ago! His Mom talked him into lowering his head and crawling out. I'm Sonja' older sister, Sheila, live with my husband Robert in East Concord, NY (just north of the village of Springville) Our oldest son, Tristan is attending Univ. of Buffalo for Civil Engineering and our other son, Colin, Erie community college and then transferring to RIT for computer software engineering. Sonja, Sandy and I see each other fairly often but it's nice to hear from everybody else.

Answer to Becky,

Thanks for your update. I'll show it to my Mom Lois today.

Carol lives with Lois, and works nights as a RN. She is taking good care of her mom. George (me) Bob, and Rick all live nearby and visit often.

Carol has four children, and many grandsons, only one grandaughter named Gracie (might be a bit spoiled). My brother Bob and his wife are blessed with a son named Arthur who enjoys dirt bikes and go-carts with his dad.

Ricky and wife Pat have twin boys who are finished with high school.

You have heard from my son Nick, who graduated from Columbia and Harvard. Daughter Jennifer lives in Buffalo after Cornell, recently got her MS at Univ of Buffalo.

My wife Fran, has a daughter Debora Dee Fresch, a Nurse Practicioner, who lives in Vancouver Washington. We visit now and then, and marvel at the beauty of the great North Wet. We enjoy eleven grandchildren, but none local. We fly our own homebuilt airplane most weekends for fun and travel.

Ever get to Florida?

Take care,

George
